VACCINATION OF BROILER BREEDERS AGAINST IBD USING AN IMMUNE COMPLEX VACCINE – A FIELD ASSESSMENT

Infectious Bursal (Gumboro) Disease (IBD) remains as one of the major threats for poultry producers worldwide and its consequences can vary from high mortality to immunosuppression. Its prevention is based on a combination of strict biosecurity procedures and vaccination.

Transmune is widely utilized in broilers and its use in broiler breeders has grown in different parts of the world. Therefore, the major objective of this study was to evaluate, under field conditions, the use of this vaccine in broiler breeders.
